or ABAS, is a South African, non-profit organization
(see
our registration details),
aiming to help animals in need.
Our headquarters are situated in
Andeon, Pretoria (physical
address). We specialize in birds,
reptiles & primates, which
makes us one of few (if not the
only) registered sanctuaries for
these exotic animals.
The main
objectives of ABAS are to care
for sick, undernourished and
donated animals, to rehabilitate
traumatized animals and to reallocate
indigenous (South Africa) animals to their
natural habitat. Our secondary
objectives are to educate the
public in animal (pet) care, to
teach our youth the importance
of animals and to exhibit
animals at public and underprivileged
schools and other public places.
